Ambrose University is a Christian higher education institution that pursues the study of arts, sciences and theology alongside the study of professional disciplines.
Overview
Located in Calgary, Alberta, the 40 acre campus sits in the heart of an ethnically diverse city of more than one million people, and overlooking the Canadian Rockies.
Ambrose creates a dynamic learning environment for the university’s 920 students through:
- High calibre professors
- Small classes
- A strong sense of community
There are many community opportunities beyond the classroom to develop spiritually, intellectually, physically and socially through the college’s spiritual formation, residence and athletics. A comfortable apartment-style residence is available near campus, including a program that provides an excellent transition from home to independent living.
In 2011, Ambrose University established the Canadian Chinese School of Theology at Ambrose Seminary, which offers programs in:
- Master of Divinity
- Master of Christian Studies
- Diploma in Christian Studies
- Certificate in Christian Studies
The program is taught in Mandarin, supplemented with Cantonese or English, and combines the best of Eastern and Western approaches to seminary training, being sensitive to the Chinese church’s cultural traditions, language, its collective vision and mandate, and by following the example of Jesus Christ in training his disciples.
